When using the credit card processing, is there a way to transfer the credit card fees so that they are payable by the patient?

Applying a separate surcharge is not legal in many states. In cases where it is legal, our experience is that patients/clients may push back against this. However, if you really want to, you can build this into your rates. For example, if you want to charge $100 and pass the fee on to the patient, you would simply charge $103.
