How do I determine the status of an e-lab order?

Follow these steps to check on the status of an e-lab order for any of your patients. 

1. Go into a patient's chart through the ''Charts'' tab or by using the ''Shortcuts'' menu on the home page.

2. Click on "Labs" and then on the "E-Results & other info" tab. 

3. Click on "Orders" in the Change Healthcare section. 

4. Look under the "Status" column to see the status. 

  • Inactive = The order is inactive and has not been transmitted to the lab yet. 
  • Transmitted = The order was transmitted to the lab. 
  • Entered: The order was entered and activated. 

Please note: Due to recent changes in how selected labs are transmitting lab results, certain lab results may not generate notifications. We are aware of the issue and actively investigating potential solutions.
