Why are claims submitted to UPMC not auto-updating in Luminello?

Our integration with ApexEDI functions in a three-way communication process. First, your submitted claim reaches ApexEDI where it is sent for processing to UPMC. UPMC sends the processed claim back to ApexEDI, from there, Luminello pulls the information and auto-updates every each patient/client chart.

In the event that a claim submitted to UPMC has not been auto-posted in Luminello and you have confirmed on your UPMC portal that it has been processed, you can submit a file request to UPMC. They will research the missing files and send them over to ApexEDI at which point, they will flow back into Luminello. This process can take up to ten days. 

To easily submit a file request to UPMC to research a missing ERA, please go to Charts>Billing>Insurance info>Go to my insurance portal. Once there, scroll down to the ''Quick Links'' section shown below and click on the ''Missing ERA'' link:
