Why don't I see a medication I prescribed in the active medication list?

There are a few reasons this may happen:

  • DrFirst sorts active medications in alphabetical order as opposed to the date prescribed, so be sure to scroll down the list to see if the medication you prescribed is there. Note: We have asked them to change this; if and when they do, we will update this article.
  • It may have been inadvertently stopped. Check the "Show Inactive Medications" to see if it was accidentally removed from the "Active Medication" list by you or someone in your office.
  • The prescription may have passed the "Stop After" date. For example, an rx for 30 tablets, once a day, will be removed from the "Active Medication" list automatically if you had set a stop date for after 30 days. We, therefore, recommend considering not applying a stop date to prescriptions.
  • If none of the above answers the question for you, send us the chart ID and prescription serial # and we will ask DrFirst to investigate.
