How do pro-rated charges work for upgrades?

Here's how pro-rated charges for upgrades are calculated:

1. The cost difference between your current plan and your new plan is calculated. As an example, let's assume that your current plan costs $69/month and your new plan costs $129/month. The amount to be charged for the new plan would be $60.

2. You are billed for a partial month of the new plan. The partial month cost is calculated by dividing the cost difference between your current plan and the new plan by the number of days in a month. Using the above example, the cost for a partial month of your new plan would be $2/day.

3. The cost for a partial month is multiplied by the remaining number of days until the next payment date. As an example, let's assume that your last payment was deducted on January 13th and your next payment will be deducted on February 13th. You changed your plan on February 1st, with 11 days left until the next payment date. The pro-rated charge would be $22 which is the result of multiplying the cost for a partial month on the new plan by the remaining number of days until the next payment date.
