Billing and financial partners: who does what?

Understanding the role of Luminello and our partners

Luminello offers basic and advanced billing and financial functionality along with our partners.  To learn more about who does what, read on:

Credit card processing

Most credit card processing functionality is fully integrated within Luminello, and you can read an overview here.  However, for advanced functionality, you'll use the Payconex portal from our partner Bluefin.

• Luminello functionality: Pre-authorize, capture, charge, refund credit cards
• Payconex functionality via Bluefin: Refund partial amounts; view practice-level transaction history

Insurance claim processing

Basic insurance claim submission functionality is within Luminello.  However, for advanced functionality, you'll use the Onetouch portal from our partner ApexEDI. 

• Luminello functionality: Submit insurance claims; billing history gets automatically updated when the claim is paid.
• ApexEDI functionality: verify eligibility; view accepted/rejected states; view EOBs/ERAs; resubmit claims; view practice-level insurance history
