What does the "Order Type" mean when sending an e-lab order?

When sending an e-lab order, you can choose the "Order Type". There are two types to choose from:

• PSC
• Standard

1. PSC Order: This is the default and the most common for outpatient psychiatric practices. In the ''PSC'' order type,  the patient's specimen is collected for testing facility such as LabCorp/Quest Diagnostics lab – also referred to as a patient service center (PSC).

2. Standard Order: In the ''Standard'' order type, the patient's specimen is collected for testing in your office. Here you must mention the collection date/time in the order information section.
