How much does PDMP cost?

Three easy steps to determine the cost

Step 1: Determine if your state subsidizes the annual cost hereNote: The state subsidy only covers the annual provider license fees. It doesn't include the one-time setup fee.

Step 2: If your state does not subsidize, multiply the number of EPCS-enabled prescribers in your clinic x $75/year. Note: PDMP integration requires ALL prescribers within your clinic to be enrolled and pay the annual fee.

Step 3: Multiply the number of locations to be enrolled x $699 one-time setup fee. For example:

  • For a solo practitioner in two or more locations grouped together, this is just one location.
  • For a solo practitioner in two states, this is two locations.
  • For a group in two or more locations grouped together, this is just one location.
  • For a group in two or more locations grouped separately or in separate states, this is two or more locations.

Note: PDMP fees are NON-refundable, regardless of the success rate of requests you experience in your practice. There are no exceptions to this as this fee originates from DrFirst. This fee will be charged before your PDMP account is set up.

Note: Starting January 1, 2022, the state of Illinois will require EMRs with facilities in the state to have an integrated PDMP solution.
