Tell me more about the CURES Act

In compliance with the 21st Century CURES Act, Luminello supports functionality that allows any patient/client age 13 or over, or parent of a child age 12 or younger, with a registered portal account to request an automated export of their chart notes via a 3rd-party app. 

Please note this is a US government mandate, and clinicians must comply with this mandate.

No data entered in Charts>Entries>Notepad will be exported.

There are several exceptions to this rule that you may invoke to block this export. If you believe one or more of your charts should be excepted, you should go into Charts>Profile>Demographics to disallow sharing. Due to the technological requirements of automated 3rd party access, declaring an exception must be made PROACTIVELY BEFORE THE PATIENT/CLIENT REQUESTS THEIR INFO. You cannot disallow a request afterward. 

Due to varying and conflicting state laws regarding teen privacy, for patients/clients age 13 or older, the system default is that access will NOT be allowed to their parents. As above, you may go into any individual parent's permission to turn this on if you believe that is indicated.
