How can I decline a referral request with a comment?

It is possible to decline a referral request with a comment for those clinicians that may want to share more details with a prospect as to why they're declining the request or suggest other alternatives. Read on to learn how.

1. From your main dashboard, click on "Referrals."

2. Go to the "Requests" section, and click on the referral request you want to decline.

3. Click on the "I want to" button.

4. Go to "Update Status" and choose "Declined with comment."

5. Select a "Reason for declining" from the drop-down.

Note: The “Reason for declining” will not be revealed to patients/clients, as it’s intended for reporting purposes.

6. Add a "Comment" and click "Yes, proceed."

7. The prospect will be prompted via an external email to log into Luminello, and once they do, they will see the status of their consultation request, along with your comment.

Note for groups: Potential patients/clients will only notice their referral status as “Declined” and see the comment if the request is declined from the “Owner” menu.
